Many of the relationships we have with the industry begin with a request to “test” something…Many times, the test is a means to an end, whether this be a new product design or improved process. The initial testing allows us to develop deeper into a company’s needs and begin to develop a meaningful relationship.
Recognising the importance of understanding testing capabilities, several years ago we developed a National Testing Register, which is a list of some of the equipment and services that exist within NZ research organisations, and testing service companies, that can be accessed by companies looking to support their R&D efforts and/or to engage with the research community. Our vision for the National Testing Register is as a streamlined engagement pathway for both companies and researchers; we will thus continue to support its development to maximize its value to the wider R&D ecosystem.
In conjunction with the MacDiarmid Institute, we have recently begun a significant upgrade of the Register. It now contains over 600 items from a far wider range of organisations, and is presented in a user-friendly searchable database format at https://www.nzproductaccelerator.co.nz/ntr/
Many of the items contain direct links to the owners of the equipment, but if you would like further information about any of the equipment already listed, or if you would like to talk to us about listing items, then we look forward to hearing from you.
